This is the first boutique pedal I ever purchased. It still blows me away and has never let me down in terms of cutting thru the loudest of bands. It gives you the ultimate Chairman of the Board high gain O/D pedal. Its purrfect for rock to fusion styles. I usually leave the filter setting where you see it. For the money, you just cant beat it for what it does

My first fuzz type pedal. For a fuzz its smooth and woody sounding. Its perfect for certain songs and styles. Ive had many guitar players task me what that sound was and I show em this. Once you dial it in, Its gutt wrenchingly over the top good. I use this for Pink Floyd to Prince stuff, it sounds great alone or with delay, I feel honored to own one since Marc has diss continued the production of them . Over the top good and its not for sale

After owning the Time Machine, I decided I liked the modern side the best. Trying to keep all smaller footprint pedals on my board, I sold the Time Machine and copped the Katana Boost. Its great for boosting your clean sound above the mix and when you pull out the side volume knob as shown, it adds harmonic richness to your overdriven amps channel. It turns the shitty sounding stock O/D channels on a HRD into a mofo of harmonically dripping sustaining tonalitys of sound. Its my favorite boost type pedal. Thanks Mr Keeley.

On stage for the National touring act of the Broadway show 'Chicago". Using my banjo with a 6 string guitar neck. Ive done countless show, productions with it and ive never had a conductor complain that it didnt sound exactly like a real Banjo. Its saved me from being a real banjo tuned player. Man, that was a challenging and hard run, I was tired and you can see it in my face. Hey, What doesent kill you will only make you stronger.

Ive always thought the Fender HRD was a great concept amp for the price. Great cleans but near un usable O/D channels. Jim Price at Omega Amps created his magic mod for little money, turning this amp into a fire breathing monster. He sweetened up the cleans to sound like a Blackface-esque chimy clean channel. Some say the first drive channel is Dumble ish. You can decide for your self. To me , its just smooth and tops o/d pedals and the more drive channel is fully saturated for legato style intense O/D. The volume control is evened out. I have the mids boost feature which will cut thru any and all Band mixes. I cant say enough about the tonal and harmonic complexities of this amp
